Wotcha!
My alliance is under yet another war dec (*yawn*). So did I prepare? No, I wasted a half-hour before work this morning after downloading Singularity... doing nothing but playing with character designs. I would have stayed longer if I had not asked a friend if she could pick me up from the oil change shop. But at least it was fun playing with Singularity! ^_^

Sometimes it pays to be an early bird?
First --
A fun read:

Second --
Not something of mine, but close. Early yesterday morning one of my sibs was flying through Algogille. Seeing a wreck near the gate to Renyn, he couldn't resist a peek... and he saw TREASURE!
Now he knew how to fly an Iteron (albeit Mark I) despite being little more than a week out of the Center for Advanced Studies (I understand that he may have been flying an industrial after mugging convoys, caravans, chandlers, and merchants for oxygen using a Catalyst destroyer?). And there was one available in system for 260k...
Reportedly he managed to pull out three of the four Advanced Ice Command Centers, 900+ of the thousand Robotics on board, and some 4k units of liquid ozone. Not too bad for just flying through Empire minding his own business!

Sometimes high, sometimes low; sometimes all about
Last night
My CEO made my night yestereve when I offered the corp a moon harvesting array, some silos, and some offense / defense modules at one of our null sec operations. "Damn. Where did you get those, Kinroi? WHO DID YOU ROB?" Best response yet to something I got at fire sale prices! Grabbing things up that are on sale from multi-system evacuations is like browsing yard sales for indigent alliances. ^_^
Not quite as fast
Sometimes I like to kick about null sec, but sometimes I also like to check in on mission agents in high sec. Late last night I cost a friend a tech 1-fitted Drake when I failed to warn her about the hazards of a fracas 'twixt the Serpentis and Guristas. Thankfully I had a replacement tech 2-fitted Drake in-system -- a Drake I'd fitted out to probe wormholes before realizing that it was too fragile -- but I still felt like I should have warned her more clearly. Obviously clear communication is important whether your opponent is a capsuleer or a 'rat faction. >.<

Jammers: first among equals?
Avoriel and I were discussing how I might fit out a Blackbird hull into which I'd chanced. Surprised at how much further I could jam in a Blackbird than a Falcon (my Long Distance Jamming skill is only middling), I decided to compare the bonuses listed for Caldari EWAR craft.
Griffin --
Caldari Frigate Skill Bonus: 15% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength and 10% bonus to ECM Target Jammers' capacitor need per level.
Kitsune --

Electronic Attack Ships Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to ECM target jammer optimal range and 5% bonus to capacitor capacity per level
Blackbird --
Caldari Cruiser Skill Bonus: 15% bonus to ECM Target Jammer strength per level; 10% bonus to ECM Target Jammer optimal range and falloff per level.

Genesis
*Thump* Well, this is indeed on!
Finding a first entry stumped me; but then I do enjoy a little of everything from haunting Syndicate and Providence to hunting Sansha zombies to whatever odd jobs the latest zaibatsu agent wants in whatever empire space I find myself.
But then I found something on which I could wax eloquent: the ancient and lowly Velator. With a Micro Auxiliary Power Core you can mount a decent Cold-Gas afterburner and two tech II railguns on it. With a tech II Signal Amplifier and a tech II Auto Targeter you can fit a 150mm Railgun II and a 'Langour' webber in the mids and lock onto seven hostiles at 40 km. And either way you can fit two of the tech II versions of the Minmatar Warrior or Gallente Federation Hobgoblins in its drone bay. Who would ever expect that out of a ship used to train rookies? What's not to like? ^_^
